<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of, when a water leak occurs and the operation of the system is stopped, preventing the damage of the water leak from expanding, reducing the possibility of a failure in a water circulation system due to no-load running of the water circulation system and preventing freezing of water remaining within a water path from which water leaks. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell system 301 includes: a water circulation path 9 for circulating water relevant to the operation of a fuel cell 1; a water circulator 10; a heater 14 that heats the water circulation path; first failure detectors 29 and 30 relevant to water leak from the water circulation path; and a controller 16. The fuel cell system 301 performs a water circulation operation to circulate the water within the water circulation path 9 with the water circulator and heating operation with the heater to prevent freezing of the water circulation path 9. The controller is configured so as, when the fuel cell system is stopped due to a first failure detection by the first failure detectors, to prohibit the water circulation operation but not to prohibit the heating operation for freezing prevention. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
