A LED-based lighting component is disclosed. It comprises of a plurality of LEDs mounted to a printed circuit board. Furthermore, a surface mount reflector of a metal sheet with punched out reflector surfaces is located on the printed circuit board. The surface mount reflector forms at least two reflectors at opposing sides of each LED, reflecting and/or shading light from the LED. The surface mount reflector and the printed circuit board are held together within a frame. |
