PURPOSE: A QR code transformation correcting device using a camera and a method thereof are provided to read and correct a QR code located in a short distance and a long distance by using the camera equipped in a mobile terminal, thereby enabling a user to check a transformed QR code at anytime. CONSTITUTION: A QR code recognition pattern storing unit(110) stores QR code recognition pattern information. A QR code reading unit(120) searches the QR code recognition pattern from an image photographed from a camera. The QR code reading unit reads a QR code. A QR code transformation state storing unit(130) stores transformation state information of the QR code. A transformation state check unit(140) checks a transformation state of a QR code image based on the transformation state information of the QR code. When the QR code is transformed, a transformation correcting unit(150) corrects transformation of the QR code.
