摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of reduction in encoding efficiency due to redundancy caused by independently encoding a luminance intra prediction mode and a color difference intra prediction mode. <P>SOLUTION: A luminance intra prediction mode decoding section 901 decodes an in-screen prediction mode of a luminance component in a block to be decoded. A color difference intra prediction mode decoding section 903 decodes color difference prediction mode determining information specifying an in-screen prediction mode of a color difference component in a block to be decoded, refers to the in-screen prediction mode of the luminance component in the block to be decoded and obtains the in-screen prediction mode of the color difference component in the block to be decoded from the color difference prediction mode determining information. When the decoded color difference prediction mode determining information shows being in a vertical/horizontal mode, the color difference intra prediction mode decoding section 903 sets the in-screen prediction mode of the color difference component in the block to be decoded to a mode forming a small angle or a large angle with the in-screen prediction mode of the luminance component in the block to be decoded from the vertical/horizontal mode which is the in-screen prediction mode of the color difference component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
