<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink for ink-jet recording containing a self-dispersible pigment, having excellent redispersibility and giving a high optical density (OD value). <P>SOLUTION: The water-based ink for ink-jet recording includes a colorant, water and a water-soluble organic solvent, wherein the colorant contains a self-dispersible pigment modified by a phosphate group, and the water-based ink further contains a reducing sugar and an N-hydroxy cyclic imide compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
