<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a ball screw nut superior in scooping-up performance of a ball, while securing a lubricant filling quantity in the ball screw. <P>SOLUTION: First of all, an S-shaped recessed part 12 is formed on an inner peripheral surface 11 of a cylindrical nut material 1 by a forging process (a). Next, roundness 12a is removed by performing a cutting process of cutting the inner peripheral surface 11 of the nut material 1 (b).
