The applied method for transporting and cleaning tuberous roots comprises operations of supplying a pile, distributing thereof, interacting with different cleaning working elements and discharging. Prior to supplying onto the cleaning working elements certain portions of the pile are multiply thrown up by a resilient broadcaster with simultaneous whirling in two different directions, then they are collected and forcedly shaked by a cupped shaker. The unit for transporting and cleaning tuberous roots includes a feed conveyer, a pile divider, a fingered blanket cleaner and an unloading conveyer. Under the pile divider a root broadcaster is arranged. Said divider is formed by an immovable hollow truncated cone, the vertex of which is directed upwards, and the surface consists of round longitudinal rods fixed with gaps. The console ends of driving shafts are brought to the lower part of the broadcaster, said shafts are mounted one inside the other and have opposite rotational directions. Rows of flat resilient blades, shaped as sectors, are fixed with corresponding spacings in cylindrical hinges on said shafts from above by certain ends. Other ends thereof are freely arranged in the radial direction, and between the shafts and blades springs are mounted. Under the broadcaster the shaker is arranged coaxially. Said shaker is shaped as a cup in the longitudinal–vertical cross-section and formed by round transversal rods, fixed with spacings, upper part thereof rests on resilient supports, and that lower is kinematically connected with a drive in the oscillatory movement in the horizontal direction. |
