<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system which prevents the neutralization of an anion exchange electrolyte near a cathode when power generation is stopped and achieves quick start up time. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell system of this invention includes: an alkali type fuel cell 101; a fuel supply device 103 supplying a fuel to an anode of the fuel cell; an oxidant supply device 108 supplying the oxidant to a cathode of the fuel cell; a liquid supply means 106 connecting with an oxidant supply line connecting the fuel cell with the oxidant supply device and supplying a liquid to the cathod; a valve 107 which is provided at a connection part between the oxidant supply line and the liquid supply means and switching the liquid supplied to the cathode; and a control device 102 controlling the switching of the valve. The fuel cell system supplies the liquid to the cathode from the liquid supply means when the power generation of the fuel cell is stopped to immerse the cathode in the liquid thereby inhibiting an anion exchange electrolyte from being neutralized with carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
