PURPOSE: An application processing method and an image display device are provided to execute an application during loading time when predicted loading time of content is prolonged, thereby efficiently using the loading time. CONSTITUTION: An image display device connects to a content providing server(S11). The image display device receives selection for content provided from the content providing server(S12). The image display device determines loading time of the selected content(S13). When the loading time exceeds predetermined time, the image display device executes an application(S14,S15). When the loading time is completed, the image display device executes the selected content(S17).
