The device (DOH) has a gripping unit (PRH) i.e. handle (POI), cooperated with a hand of a user. A pressure unit (PRS) i.e. flat part (MEP), is cooperated with another hand of the user. The latter hand holds an oyster to open. A penetration unit (PNT) i.e. pointed bevel (BIS), penetrates between shells of the oyster to shear a muscle adductor to obtain leverage action for separating the shells. A connection unit (LSN) is connected between the gripping unit, the pressure unit and the penetration unit. The handle is made of plastic, composite, wood, cork, carbon or metal.
