[Also in Division B4] An adjustable mounting for a rotary drill or wrench comprises a carrier 50 which is supported at one end of a roll-boom 36 adapted, via a portion 38 to be connected to the end of a jib 12 pivoted on a mounting member 10, a power drive means being provided for rotating the boom together with the drill and carrier. The boom portion 38 is offset so that when the drilling device is in the mid position shown in Fig. 1, a series of holes (62, 64, 66, Fig. 3) may be drilled, without moving the jib by rotating the boom via its drive means. The drill carrier is moved through a vertical plane by means of rams 16, 44 and through a horizontal plane by means of a ram (14, Fig. 2,). |
