<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless power transmitting apparatus and method for wirelessly transmitting power to a power receiving apparatus by selectively using one central coil and two side coils. <P>SOLUTION: In the wireless power transmitting apparatus and method: when each of one central coil 131 and two side coils 133, 135 transmits power, a reception power amount received by a power receiving apparatus 200 is judged; in accordance with the judged reception power amount, at least one of the one central coil 131 and the two side coils 133, 135 is selected as a power transmitting coil; and the power is wirelessly transmitted to the power receiving apparatus 200 through the selected power transmitting coil. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
