<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion device for preventing reduction in neutralizing ability. <P>SOLUTION: A combustion device 1 includes: a primary heat exchanger 7 for recovering sensible heat from a combustion gas generated by combustion of a burner 2; a secondary heat exchanger 9 for recovering latent heat from the combustion gas having passed through the primary heat exchanger 7; a drainage route 11 for discharging drain water produced in the secondary heat exchanger 9; a neutralizing device 13 disposed in the middle of the drainage route 11 and filled with a neutralizer to neutralize the drain water; and a cleaning means 26 cleaning the neutralizing device 13 by pouring water. An integrating means 28 is disposed, which integrates operation information on the combustion device 1. The cleaning means 26 cleans the neutralizing device 13 at predetermined time intervals based on the integrated value integrated by the integrating means 28. The second or subsequent intervals are shorter than the first interval.
