<p>The method involves sending a first request to a chosen network address i.e. Internet protocol (IP) address, by an electrical appliance i.e. personal computer (2), via a network cable (3). A second request is sent to the network address via the cable after lack of response and expiry of duration of the first request, where the first and second requests are address resolution protocol type requests. The address is self-assigned by another electrical appliance i.e. speed regulator (1), after lack of response and expiry of duration of the second request. An independent claim is also included for a communication system.</p> |
