ORGANIC WHITE LIGHT-EMITTING DEVICES WITH IMPROVED PERFORMANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve organic white light-emitting devices.

SOLUTION: An organic light-emitting diode (OLED) device for emitting white light includes a) an anode; b) a hole-transporting layer disposed on the anode; c) a blue light-emitting layer disposed on the hole-transporting layer; d) an electron-transporting layer disposed on the blue light-emitting layer; and e) a cathode disposed on the electron-transporting layer. The hole-transporting layer comprises a layer in contact with the entire layer or a portion of the blue light-emitting layer and contains a light-emitting naphthacene compound having a specific general formula.
