The terminal has a clamping pocket (1) inserted in a clamping pocket conductor (3) and an elongated push plate (4) for clamping the conductor. The push plate is aligned with a longitudinal side face (11) in the clamping pocket parallel to a longitudinal axis of the inserted conductor. The push plate clamps the conductor at an angle 0 degree to 90 degree guided along longitudinal axis of the conductor. The clamping pocket forms a guide i.e. slot shaped aperture, for guiding the push plate. The push plate comprises a free end that is partially curved in the direction of the conductor.
