<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foot shape measuring instrument capable of solving such a difficulty that the height of a dorsal part cannot be accurately measured because a distance between imaging means and a foot cannot be accurately measured when imaging the lateral of the foot by the imaging means and capable of performing accurate measurement of dorsal arch height. <P>SOLUTION: On a sole image acquired by the imaging means of the foot shape measuring instrument, a distance between the imaging means and the foot can be specified by measuring a distance between each point on a line connecting a tip of a second toe to the final end of a heel and an optical center of the imaging means. By previously finding a transformation from relation between a measurement value in each pixel of an object with known height on various distances from the imaging means and the actual dimensions of the object, the dorsal arch height in each pixel found from the lateral image of the foot can be transformed into the actual dimensions.
