Transfer of security oriented entry signals through a non-secure channel by means of a security oriented telegram

The method involves receiving signals by a pre-evaluation device (5) over a channel (8) of a sensor, and determining a security telegram (T) by the pre-evaluation device such that the telegram contains information about individual signals, pre-evaluation results deduced from the individual signals and additional testing information. The telegram is transmitted to a main evaluation device over an input channel (4), and a defective determination and transmission of the telegram and absence of the telegram are detected by the main evaluation device based on the additional testing information. An independent claim is also included for a pre-evaluation device is arranged proximate to security-relevant sensors at a distance away from a main evaluation device.
