PURPOSE: An arc-ignition method in welding is provided to reduce spatters and to generate the beads of a welding part by generating arc in a state where a wire and a welding member are separated. CONSTITUTION: An arc-ignition method in welding comprises: a step for applying a low voltage(S1); a step for feeding a wire from a feeder(S2); a step for measuring the voltage between a tip and a welding member to identify whether the wire and the welding member are contacted(S3); a step for reducing the feeding of the wire by stopping the feeder when the voltage is 0(S4); a step for applying an open-circuit voltage in a welding machine(S5); and a step for lifting up the wire from the welding member with a solenoid valve so that arc can be generated for ignition(S6).
