PURPOSE: A user terminal interlinked with a social network service and a control method thereof are provided to automatically supply various multimedia effects and information to a user through the social network service. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(230) receives contents from a multimedia server through a communication unit(210) according to an insertion tag confirmed by a tag confirmation unit through an SNS(Social Network Service) message. The control unit receives an SNS message from an SNS server through the communication unit by using a push service or connection according to a preset cycle. The control unit outputs the content through a display unit(250) and a speaker(260) according to an option set in the tag.
