PURPOSE:To remove backgrounds in real time in a scintillation camera by dividing an effective vidual field for gamma-ray incidence into small-area matrices and outputting a positional signal of the camera in accordance with the number of backgrounds. CONSTITUTION:Positional signals X, Y for X and Y axis directions of a gamma-ray incident position of a camera are outputted from a camera position calculating circuit and supplied to a memory 11 as address signals through an A/D converter 10. The stored contents are read out and sent to a counter 12, which adds ''1'' to the input signal and the added signal is supplied to a comparator 14 and the memory 11, so that the contents of the memory 11 are successively updated. The comparator 14 outputs a signal Z' to display on the camera only when the input value is larger than a set point from a background value setter 13. The signal Z' is converted into a luminance signal Z'' by finding ''OR'' between the signal Z' and a luminance signal Z in an OR circuit 15 and the signal Z'' is applied to a CRT16 to display the position by the positional signals X, Y |
