<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral membrane element which enables an efficient discharge of an insoluble component contained in a supply liquid as a concentrated liquid while suppressing a decrease in effective membrane area, and to provide a spiral membrane module. <P>SOLUTION: The spiral membrane element 1 comprises a wound body R formed by winding a singular or a plurality of separating membranes 2, supply side flow passage materials 6 and permeate side flow passage materials 3, around a perforated central tube 5, and includes an upstream side end member 10 provided at the upstream side of the wound body R having blade parts 11 generating a swirl flow of the supply liquid 7 around a shaft core. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
