<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accurate and precise photon-counting X-ray CT system that can quantitatively perform scattered radiation correction. <P>SOLUTION: The photon-counting X-ray CT system 1 includes: an attenuation coefficient map generating part 63 for generating a first attenuation coefficient map on the basis of X-ray photons corresponding to a first energy region, the maximum energy of which is a higher energy than or equal to the maximum peak energy of characteristic X-rays; an attenuation coefficient map conversion part 64 for converting the first attenuation coefficient map into a second attenuation coefficient map of a second energy region; a simulation execution part 65 for running a scatter simulation on the basis of the second attenuation coefficient map and generating the scattered photon distribution of scattered X-ray photons; an energy discrimination part 62 for generating prereconstruction data on the basis of the X-ray photons corresponding to the second energy region, correcting the prereconstruction data by the scattered photon distribution to discriminate corrected data; and an image reconstruction part 67 for reconstructing a scatter-corrected image corresponding to the second energy region on the basis of the corrected data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
