<p>There is disclosed a honeycomb catalyst body having a temperature which immediately rises to a temperature at which a catalyst is activated, when heat is applied to the honeycomb catalyst body. The honeycomb catalyst body includes a tubular honeycomb structure 50 in which a porosity is 50% or larger and an average pore diameter in partition wall cross sections is 20 µm or larger, and an SCR catalyst 60, pores 15 of partition walls 1 of the honeycomb structure 50 are filled with a predetermined amount of the SCR catalyst 60, the SCR catalyst 60 is disposed to coat all areas of the surfaces of the partition walls 1, and a thickness of a layer 61 formed by the SCR catalyst 60 disposed to coat all the areas of the surfaces of the partition walls 1 is 20 µm or larger in a honeycomb catalyst body 100.</p> |
