PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of an electrode active material slurry and an electrochemical capacitor including an electrode using the electrode active material are provided to improve dispersion ability of an active material and a conductive agent. CONSTITUTION: By mixing a conductive agent(160) and a first thickener, the conductive agent is first dispersed. By mixing an active material(150) and a second thickener(170) to the first dispersion material, the conductive agent is second dispersed. The degree of polymerization of the first thickener is in the range of 100-250. The weight-average molecular weight of the first thickener is in the range of 20000-55000. . The degree of polymerization of the second thickener is in the range of 251-1200. The weight-average molecular weight of the second thickener is in the range of 56000-250000. .
