<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly determine deterioration of an abnormality detecting function for a level degradation in a data signal, while keeping a communication channel. <P>SOLUTION: A remote monitoring system 1 is a system where a remote monitoring controller 2 is connected to a monitoring device 3 via two communication channels 4. The remote monitoring controller 2 includes a modem 21, a channel interruption level inspection circuit 22, an operation part 23, a processing part 24, and a storage part 25. The modem 21 exchange a data signal with the monitoring device 3. A channel interruption level inspection circuit 22 includes attenuators for each one of communication channels 4, that attenuates the data signal and output the signal to the modem 21. The processing part 24 periodically designates attenuation factors (0.1-99.9db) to the channel interruption level inspection circuit 22 to attenuate the data signal for each communication channel 4, when the two communication channels 4 are normal, and identifies an attenuation factor when the modem 21 detects a channel abnormality. If the specified attenuation factor for any one of the communication channels 4 is out of an acceptable range, the modem 21 transmits alarm indicating the channel abnormality to the monitoring device 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
