<p>The present invention provides a method for producing a hydrophilic cellulose fiber in which a cellulose fiber is oxidized in a reaction solution containing an N-oxyl compound, an oxidant, and a promoter, and in which the reaction solution is reused to further oxidize the cellulose fiber. The present invention is a method for producing a hydrophilic cellulose fiber, the method involving: a step (1a) in which an oxidized cellulose fiber is obtained by oxidizing a cellulose fiber in a reaction solution containing an N-oxyl compound, an oxidant, and sodium sulfate; and a step (1b) in which an oxidized cellulose is obtained by separating the oxidized cellulose thus obtained, adding the cellulose fiber and an oxidant into the reaction solution, and oxidizing the cellulose fiber again.</p> |
