PURPOSE: A fluid passage opening and closing unit of a continuous variable valve timing device is provided to reduce oil leakage which is leaked from a CVVT(Continuously Variable Valve Timing) unit while not operating by introducing a plate-shaped fluid passage opening and closing member. CONSTITUTION: A fluid passage opening and closing unit of a continuous variable valve timing device comprises a CVVT unit, a cam shaft(20), and a plate-shaped fluid passage opening and closing member(50). The CVVT unit is equipped with an advance chamber and a retard chamber inside a case which is equipped with a cam sprocket. The cam shaft is combined with the CVVT unit and forms oil holes(21) for supplying oil to the advance and retard chambers in a combining end. The plate-shaped fluid passage opening and closing member is interposed between the combining ends of the CVVT unit and the cam shaft and selectively opens or closes the oil holes. |
