PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suitable method for providing user authentication to enterprise resources.

SOLUTION: A method for providing user authentication to enterprise resources comprises the steps of : (a) setting up a biometric server having stored therein at least one biometric policy that determines whether a user can gain access to the enterprise resources, where the biometric policy is associated with at least one biometric device; (b) determining whether the user is authenticated by executing the biometric policy; and (c) if the user passes the biometric policy, allowing the user to access the enterprise resources, and otherwise, disallowing the user to access the enterprise resources.
