<p>Granular coke from coal and oil. Process comprises separate heat treatments to devolatilise the coal and crack the oil, the coke products being combined and subjected to further heat treatment. Heating is pref. carried out in 3 interconnected coking chambers, each equipped with an inlet for stripping agent and a top outlet from which the by-products are recovered. Each product granule is an intimate mixture of semi-coke from coal and flow-coke from oil, with properties better than either for use as an ind. fuel.</p> |
