Heavier-than-air-vapour removal from organic solvent vats To keep workplace concentration of vapours from organic solvents, esp. heavier-than-air vapours from varnishes and coatings such as trichlorethylene (4.5 times heavier than air), below the tolerable level of 100 ppm, apertures of the suction ducts are arranged near the vat top edge so as to carry the main flow of vapour in an angle between 45 degrees and 225 degrees to the fluid surface. The best results areobtained with an angle of 125 degrees to 145 degrees. |
