A method comprising: displaying, on a display, a medial measurement representing a force or pressure within a medial portion of a knee joint and generated, at least in part, by soft tissue adjacent to the knee joint and a lateral measurement representing a force or pressure within a lateral portion of the knee joint and generated, at least in part, by the soft tissue, including communicating the medial and lateral measurements from one or more sensors, positioned within the knee joint and coupled to or integrated with a portion of a trial prosthetic system, to the display; and adjusting, at least partially based on one or both of the medial and lateral measurements, an aspect of the trial prosthetic system to balance the force or pressure within the medial and lateral portions of the knee joint.
