<p>H2O2 is prepd. by hydrogenating a 2-alkylanthraquinone, dissolved in an organic solvent which is not miscible with water. It is hydrogenated to the 2-tert.-amylanthrahydroquinone. Auto-oxidation with an O2-contg. gas gives H2O2 which is extracted and regenerates 2-tert.-amylanthraquinone, which is recycled. The 2-tert.-amylanthraquinone is prepd. from p-halogeno-tert.-amylbenzene reacted with Mg forming tert-amylbenzene-Mg-p-halide which is condensed with phthalic anhydride to give 2-(4-tert.-amylbenzoyl)benzoic acid which is cyclised by dehydration. H2O2 is obtained in better yields.</p> |
