摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a learning opportunity of misfire determination more reliably, and to determine a misfire in an engine regardless of a secular change more properly. <P>SOLUTION: If a user indicates ''ready-off'' (S200), the engine is independently run at target rotation speed Ne* and fuel cut to a specific cylinder is performed to bring about a pseudo misfire state (S210 to S270), and a threshold for misfire determination is learned on the basis of a rotation variation RF of the engine detected in the pseudo misfire state. Then, when the learning is completed (S280), the engine is stopped to assume a ready-off state (S310, S320).
