A pump or compressor for medical use, for removal of secretion or blowing air, comprises bucket pistons 2 connected by a web 3 with a slot 4 receiving a crankpin 5 driven by an electric motor, lift valves 11 of soft silicone rubber being provided for the buckets and inlet ports in the cylinder end walls. A discharge port 6 is provided in the central chamber side wall. The cylinder ends upstream of valves 11 are interconnected by pipe 8. and connected by a pipe 9 either to a container 7 connected to the source of liquid by pipe 10 as shown, or directly to the source of liquid. Filters 12 are provided at the ends of the cylinder. The cylinder and pistons are of transparent plastics. Crank-pin 5 has a self-lubricating lining. The electric motor is mounted on a flange on the cylinder, Fig. (not shown). The pump is mounted in a suitcase. |
