Texturised yarn material produced by passing the yarn under a controlled tension of 0.0033-0.2., pref. 0.0066-0.08 gm/denier between one or more sets of opposed surfaces having alternatively raised and depressed regions which engage to deform the yarn, and removing the yarn under controlled (lower) tension and temperature conditions to produced a stabilised coil crimped textile yarn. General, esp. for treatment of multifilaments based on cellulosic, polyamide, polyester acrylic, or polyolefin resins, at processing rates of 50-100, pref. 100-400 ft/min.
