<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle ceiling material that can improve further more the sound absorption performance. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle ceiling material 20 is formed by laminating a base material 26 comprising a semi-rigid polyurethane foam; a surface side fiber layer 27 and a back side fiber layer 28 for reinforcement placed to hold the base material 26; a skin layer 31 installed on the surface of the surface side fiber layer 27 and forms the ceiling surface of the car compartment; a back layer 32 for stopping the ventilation bonded to the back side fiber layer 28 by the adhesive S applied on the back of the back side fiber layer 28. An adhesion preventing layer 33 that is narrower in the width than the back layer 32 is interposed between the back side fiber layer 28 and the back layer 32.
