PURPOSE: An information management system for electric appliances is provided to enable users to share information about exercise or calorie consumption, thereby motivating users to maintain a healthy lifestyle. CONSTITUTION: A first electric appliance is registered with a particular user ID and a particular device ID. A second electric appliance is registered with a particular user ID and device ID which are different from the IDs registered in the first electric appliance. A server system(1) communicates with the first and second electric appliances and guides the first and second electric appliances to exchange information with each other. The server system manages the information which users input through the first and second electric appliances and transmits the information to the first appliance or to the second electric appliance.
