An oil and gas layer overflow electronic detection and safety control cable hanger, comprising a main body (1) and a cable clamping and fixing device. A screw thread (5) is provided on the outside of the top of the main body (1). An opening for cable entry (12) is provided vertically on the main body (1). A tapering-down cone-shaped passage (2) is provided inside of the main body (1). A dismountable support device (9) is fixed on the upper part of the main body (1). The cable clamping and fixing device comprises two wedges (3) that have a sector-shaped cross-section. The external shape of each wedge (3) is a tapering-down cone shape complimentary to the cone-shaped passage (2). The two wedges (3) are symmetrically fixed and installed in the cone-shaped passage (2), forming between the two wedges (3) a cable hole (4) having a diameter smaller than that of the cable. The hanger has a compact and logical structure. The wedges and the main body work together to clamp the electronic detection cable, thereby preventing the electronic detection device from dropping to the bottom of the well, and effectively preventing the loss of and damage to the electronic detection device, while ensuring safe well closure within prescribed time.
