PURPOSE: A valve device for a gas appliance is provided to improve use convenience of a user and to reduce cost by implementing gas supply and ignition motion with one single valve at the same time. CONSTITUTION: A valve device for a gas appliance comprises a valve body(10) and a shaft portion. The valve body comprises a gas supply hole(13) connected to a gas supply pipe and a gas discharge pipe, a gas discharge hole(12), an insertion hole(13) inserting a shaft cork of a shaft portion. The shaft portion implements gas supply and ignition motion at the same time by being connected to the valve body and comprises a shaft cork(21) and a shaft valve(22). The shaft cork opens and closes supply flow path of gas by being inserted in an insertion hole of the valve body. The shaft valve turns on and off an ignition switch by being connected to the shaft cork.
