PURPOSE: A method of reducing contaminants in indoor air is provided to completely remove volatile organic compounds such as formaldehyde which causes sick house syndrome, sick car syndrome, or atopic dermatitis, thereby preventing emission of harmful substances. CONSTITUTION: A method of reducing contaminants in indoor air comprises a step of spraying harmful chemical substance remover on indoor furniture and construction materials; a step of emitting ozone in indoor air; and a step of collecting dusts existing in indoor air. The said harmful chemical substance remover is a material to decompose formaldehyde and volatile organic compounds. When the harmful chemical substance remover is sprayed, the remover is infiltrated into the furniture and construction materials so that formaldehyde and volatile organic compounds embedded in the furniture and construction materials can be continuously removed.
