<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overcurrent suppression circuit and an overcurrent suppression method capable of protecting a device from a rush current while feeding power with stability, and protecting the device quickly at the occurrence of input power supply failures or load failures or the like. <P>SOLUTION: An overcurrent suppression circuit 10 has: current detection means 20 outputting a detection signal in the case that an input current is larger than a predetermined threshold; voltage output means 30 supplying an output voltage to exterior and stopping the supply of the output voltage when the detection signal is inputted; mask means 40 outputting the detection signal in the case that input of the detection signal is continued at the time when a mask time period elapses; bypass means 50 outputting the detection signal as it is; voltage monitoring means 60 measuring an applied voltage; and switching means 70 selecting the mask means 40 when a fluctuation width of the applied voltage is within a predetermined range, and selecting the bypass means 50 when the fluctuation width of the application voltage is out of the predetermined range to connect the selected means with the current detection means 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
