Provided is an image management device, method, and program for image reading, that can set an appropriate process for displaying a series of medical images without relying on the experience or know-how of a user or the individual image extraction algorithms. The image management device is provided with the following: an interface unit (101) for acquiring image data corresponding to a series of medical image groups; and an image reading process information setting unit (118) for setting information related to a display operation executed when a series of medical image groups are displayed on a screen, such setting performed on the basis of operation information comprising a first characteristic amount of each medical image included in the series of medical image groups and a second characteristic amount associated with information related to a specific operation carried out on the screen on which the medical images are displayed and/or information related to such specific operation. |
