<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge tube having a connector connectable to an electrode without using solder, and a light emitting device including the discharge tube. <P>SOLUTION: A discharge tube 2 of this invention includes: a cylindrical glass bulb 8; an electrode 9 having a predetermined radius; and a connector 10 connectable to the electrode 9. The electrode 9 has a large diameter part 12 which has a predetermined length along a longitudinal direction of the glass bulb 8 and forms a large diameter, and the large diameter part 12 has a first engagement part 14 engaging with the connector 10 and a contact part 15 contacting with the connector 10. The connector 10 includes: a cylindrical connector body 16 into which the electrode 9 can be inserted; a second engagement part 17 engaging with the first engagement part 14 of the electrode 9 with the electrode 9 inserted into the connector body 16 in the cylinder core direction; and a connection part 18 electrically connecting the connector body 16 with the contact part 15 of the electrode 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
