The element (1) has a multi-layer formed filtering medium (3) asteroidally folded and forming a hollow cylinder, which surrounds a fluid-transmissive support tube. The filtering medium is provided at an outer side of a partly surrounding surface element (13) at a fixing unit. The fixing unit is co-acted with the filtering medium for stabilization of geometry of foldings. The surface element forms a carrier surface for the individually protruding fixing unit. The fixing unit is provided in a region of folding back part for adhesion with the filtering medium. The filtering medium is folded from a filter mat.
