摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniform a thickness of an organic EL thin film between effective optical region pixels and in each pixel, in manufacture of an organic EL device including an organic EL layer formed by discharging and coating an organic EL material on a substrate by an ink jet system. <P>SOLUTION: In a method of manufacturing an organic electroluminescent device, organic electroluminescent device forming regions which include an effective optical region related to display and having a plurality of display pixels arranged therein, and a first dummy region not related to the display, use a substrate for an organic electroluminescent device having a plurality of effective optical region groups. The method of manufacturing an organic electroluminescent thin film includes the steps of: forming a second dummy region to surround the plurality of organic electroluminescent device forming regions around a periphery of the effective optical region groups; and forming a composition containing an organic electroluminescent material in the first dummy region, the second dummy region, and the display pixels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
