<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide superconductive wire material having high superconducting characteristics in a magnetic field of a wide temperature range, and to provide a manufacturing method of an oxide superconductive wire material capable of manufacturing the oxide superconductive wire material with a small number of steps. <P>SOLUTION: An oxide superconductive wire material 10 includes a tape-like substrate 11, an intermediate layer 12 provided on the substrate 11, and an oxide superconducting layer 13 composed of an oxide superconductor represented by a composition formula of RE<SB POS="POST">1</SB>Ba<SB POS="POST">2</SB>Cu<SB POS="POST">3</SB>O<SB POS="POST">7-δ</SB>(in the formula, RE represents one or more than one kind of rare earth element) and provided on the intermediate layer 12.
