The lighting device further includes a mixing chamber which is optically connected to the plurality of light-emitting elements and configured to mix light emitted by the plurality of light-emitting elements. One or more of the plurality of light-emitting elements emit light substantially perpendicular to the exit aperture of the solid-state lighting device. A control system is operatively connected to the plurality of light-emitting elements and is configured to control operation of the plurality of light-emitting elements. One or more of the plurality of light-emitting elements are operatively connected to a flexible circuit board which is thermally connected to the heat-dissipating chassis.
