AUTOMATED LAWN MOWER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated lawn mower obtained by imparting a controlling device and a controlling program to a commercial lawn mower so as to remodel it for enabling learning for autonomous running and an automatic operation, and to provide a control method therefor.

SOLUTION: The automated lawn mower formed from a manually-operated lawn mower to which various kinds of devices are mounted for autonomous running and executing the automatic operation includes: various kinds of sensors at least containing a position detecting means; an actuator for the automatic operation which contains at least a driving system of a running vehicle (an accelerator) and a steering system (a steering); a running control unit for moving the running vehicle to a target position by the actuator; a cutting portion for mowing lawns along a running road surface; a calculation unit for executing various kinds of calculation operations so as to control the running control unit based on information from the sensors; and a wireless communication means for the remote control of the running vehicle via the calculation unit and the running control unit by wireless communications.
