The arrangement has a heat pump (9) coupled with an absorber (3) that stays in heat contact with water in a container, where the water withdraws heat energy such that the water at the absorber is converted into ice. The absorber is arranged at an outer side of the container and temporarily heated for removing the ice. The absorber stays in heat-contact with a heat-emitting side and a heat-absorbing side of the heat pump over a heat exchanger (6) by using a switching element i.e. valve (2), where the element is closed during a heating phase.
